At Home With Diversity

Diversity is often thought of as race or maybe culture, but it is so much more than that. Diversity impacts our entire lives. Diversity brings about knowledge and empowerment. It helps us better understand one another and helps us grow as individuals. Diversity and inclusion are some of the best lessons we can learn in order to understand, empathize, and make our world a better place.

At Home With Diversity® is an official certification of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR). As a Realtor® and a member of NAR, I uphold a strict Code of Ethics and am committed to working in your best interest.

I know the importance of adapting and maintaining relevance in today's marketplace. This particular certification addresses issues of diversity, fair housing, and cultural differences. This is particularly important because the 2020 U.S. Census reported that America is more culturally diverse than at any other time in the nation's history. People of color represent 43% of the total U.S. population. That is up by 34% since the 2010 census! Although not many people are fortunate to travel the world, the fact that America is so diverse allows us the privilege of getting to interact, socialize, and work with individuals who have very different experiences and in the real estate market have a similar goal... homeownership.

This diversity is one of the nation's greatest assets. Meeting the needs of America's diverse consumer groups has become a pragmatic strategy for businesses of all kinds. In this diverse marketplace, expanding homeownership must be about opening doors. My business practice is rooted in inclusion and equality and I am backed with the At Home With Diversity® certification. I can help buyers of all cultural backgrounds achieve the dream of homeownership.

I strive to create a more inclusive real estate business. As a result of this program, I am better able to assess the attributes of diversity in the local market, as well as the impact, which allows me to effectively serve all clients. Increasing my own awareness of cultural and personal basis allows me to understand how each can adversely shape perceptions and behaviors with a multicultural landscape. It also makes great communities.

As you know, real estate is a business based on relationships, people, and connections. I recognize the importance of people in my business and of the Fair Housing Act and reaffirm my commitment to upholding fair housing law as well as to offer equal professional service to all in their search for real estate and their dream of homeownership. It is important to understand your clients and it is important to find an agent that understands and respects diversity.
