How I Became a REALTOR®

I thought about becoming a real estate agent for a very long time but was always nervous to make the move. I was the kid who always grabbed the free homes magazines at restaurants and scoured the magazine looking at all the details, the pictures, and circling the homes that I found to be the best. I loved showing them off and imagining what they looked like inside. It is only logical that I would find myself in real estate later in my life.
Approximately six years ago, I really started investigating what it would take to become a real estate agent. The schooling I wasn't worried about; it was all the sites that stated you needed to save up six to twelve months worth of income in order to be successful and to start your real estate career full-time rather than part-time. This terrified me! I was a single mom and there was no way I could afford to save up that amount of money nor could I just leave a job with benefits that protected my child.
Jump two years ago, my wonderful husband encouraged me to follow my dream. He supported me 100%. In January 2020, I decided I was going to do it. I was going to get my license to sell real estate. I took online courses, passed my exams on the first try, and then COVID hit! What was I going to do? Skip ahead a couple of months later, my husband gets a new job in a new state. He encouraged me to still follow my dreams. I was able to pass the state examination in South Carolina and then I started looking for the right brokerage.
I found the right brokerage and became a REALTOR®. Now I practice real estate in the Charleston Trident area. I enjoy helping my clients buy and sell properties- managing every aspect of the real estate process. My mission is to give the highest level of real estate representation and advocacy that I can while always learning, growing, and improving my skill level. My goal is to go above and beyond to deliver a fun and fulfilling experience for my clients while being customer-focused and results-driven.
