Selling & Purchasing a Home During the Winter

This summer was a red hot summer for real estate! Will winter cool the market down? It doesn't appear that the market will cool down, but it does look to benefit both buyers and sellers. Are you thinking of moving? It's not too early to begin planning and you can be settled into your new home as early as the beginning of the year!

If you are thinking of selling your home this winter, you should expect the market to look a little different by the end of the year. Winter is usually the quietest time for real estate; however, this allows sellers to prepare their listings and peruse the market for their next home. Experts are also predicting more inventory available during the winter months which will put a little more pressure on marketing than was needed this summer. Don't worry though, if you are ready to sell, then my team has excellent marketing capabilities and we can get your home sold quickly!

If you are in the market for a new home don't worry about a present under the tree; allow yourself a new home for Christmas. My parents actually bought their first home together during the Christmas season and have lived there for around 30 years now! If you were caught in the spiral of multiple offerings and losing out on homes during the Spring and Summer NOW is the time to get looking for your new home. The increase in inventory and the continued low-interest rates can help create a balanced market. It may be tempting to wait until after the holidays to start looking at homes because we all know our schedules get crazy during the holiday season, but you do not know when the market is going to shift.

As your local expert, I know how to land you your dream home in your dream neighborhood. So if you are currently browsing, reach out to me and I will get you a customized home search and we can start looking now so you can move in before Thanksgiving or Christmas!
