Valentine's Day Ideas

Love is in the air and Valentine's Day is just around the corner. If you haven't already made plans, here are some Valentine's Day date ideas for in and around the Charleston area.

Let's start with dinner. Charleston is a food lover's dream town. Make reservations early, or possibly see if they have had any cancellations, at the following restaurants for a romantic and delicious meal: Halls Chophouse, Circa 1886, High Cotton, SNOB, Husk, FIG, or The Ordinary. Once dinner is over get something sweet for your sweetie at Kaminsky's, La Patisserie, Peace Pie, or Carmella's Cafe.

Dinner, not your jam? That's okay. There are plenty of other romantic things to do. You could go sailing on the Schooner Pride. Seeing the sights of the harbor, the dolphins at play, and enjoying a romantic sunset on the water would make a fun and romantic date. In the mood for a romantic stroll? Walk the quarter of a mile stroll to the Morris Island Lighthouse trail. It is just a short path from the northeast end of the last Folly Beach parking lot. Not in the mood for walking? How about a romantic carriage ride? View the city while cuddling next to your love. If you want to get out of the downtown Charleston area, you can visit Cypress Gardens. Did you know that The Notebook was filmed here? Go ahead and impress your companion with those facts.

If you are more of a stay-at-home kind of person, there are plenty of DIY Valentine's Day ideas. You can watch a romantic movie on Netflix. Create a romantic dinner for two such as fondue. The key is to set the scene and the romance will come alive!

I hope you all have a very romantic Valentine's Day!
